Game 7 - Joojeh 65 FC vs Toofan FT

In a heated match between JooJeh FC and Toofan, fans were treated to a defensive battle where the goalkeepers stole the spotlight. JooJeh’s Fawad and Toofan’s Sal Basharmal were nothing short of heroic, as they both made crucial saves throughout the match.

JooJeh’s right winger, Ali Kalaei, started off strong, causing problems for the Toofan defense early on. After beating a defender, his shot was comfortably saved by Toofan’s goalkeeper, Sal Basharmal, who was making his first appearance between the posts for Toofan with his lanky wingspan, Basharmal made save after save, proving to be a towering presence in the goal.

Toofan’s Mohammad Alamyan tried to change the momentum with his signature lofted free kick, but Fawad, JooJeh’s dependable goalkeeper, easily collected it. The battle between the goalkeepers became the highlight of the first half, with both sides taking shots that couldn’t quite find the back of the net. As the half progressed, Toofan missed key players like Hadi Ahmed and Hafez Golzarian, forcing Mohammad Razvi to carry the load in midfield.

Despite Razvi’s best efforts, including intercepting a lazy pass to set up Alamyan for another attempt, Fawad once again came to the rescue, keeping the score level at halftime. The second half saw more drama, with young Ali Kalaei continuing to trouble Toofan’s defense. He was brought down on a promising run, leading to a free kick for JooJeh that Razvi blocked with ease. The game’s controversial moment came when a quick free kick taken by Sina caught the Toofan defense off guard, as they saw their captain talking to the referee who did not stop the game as play progressed.

Dawood aka Filippo Outzaghi passed to Mohammad Hadi who slotted the ball into the net. After a bit of confusion and calls for offside the referee let the goal stand, giving JooJeh a 1-0 lead. This decision is sure to spark debate for weeks but you know what they say about controversy, it's like seasoning: a little adds flavor but too much can ruin the whole dish…umm unfortunately for Iraqis , desis, and Persians…we like a lot of seasoning!!

Toofan continued to apply pressure, making several attempts to equalize, but were consistently thwarted by some outstanding defending from Man of the Match, Ehson. One of Toofan's best chances came from a well-executed stop-and-turn shot by Alamyan, but it lacked the power to beat Fawad, who delivered a solid performance throughout the match. In the final minutes, Kalaei nearly sealed the game with a blistering run from his own half, but his shot went just wide.

Despite the close calls, JooJeh held on for the 1-0 win. JooJeh now looks forward to their next challenge against the youthful Phantom Troupe, while Toofan will hope to bounce back against the creative Guangdong Tigers.
