Game 2 - Phantom Troupe vs Joojeh 65 FC
In an evenly matched contest, Phantom Troupe and Joojeh 65 played out a 1-1 draw that was packed with excitement from start to finish.
The game's opening goal came early, with Mohammad Jaber demonstrating his pace and precision in a clinical counter-attack. Mohammad Rizvi supplied a perfect ball from the left flank, leaving Jaber one-on-one with Joojeh 65’s keeper. Jaffer Rizvi arrived just a fraction too late to deny Jaber, and Phantom Troupe found themselves in front.
Feda Alobeidi and Reza Rizvi were crucial in keeping the momentum alive for Phantom, orchestrating attacks through the wings in an effort to extend the lead. However, Joojeh 65’s midfield, led by Yaseen Golzarian and Sina Mirab, began to win more duels in the center of the pitch, setting up their own opportunities. Their persistence paid off when a handball in the penalty area awarded Joojeh 65 a penalty. Ali Kalaei confidently slotted the ball into the bottom left corner to level the match.
Phantom Troupe’s goalkeeper, Ali Numa, was called into action several times, most notably making a spectacular diving save from a grounded strike by Yaseen. As halftime came, the 1-1 scoreline reflected a tight battle between the two sides.
After the break, substitutions shook up the tempo of the match. Joojeh 65’s striker Dawood, humorously nicknamed "Kylian Not-today," had two golden chances and possibly the best chances for Jujeh 65 to score close-range goals. Still, the final touch was elusive, with both efforts squandered without a shot on target.
Phantom Troupe, a team with 90% of their players under the age of 25, showed no signs of tiring and continued their relentless barrage of shots, only to be thwarted by Joojeh 65’s veteran goalkeeper Fawad, who delivered a masterclass in shot-stopping.
Joojeh 65’s young winger Ali Kalaei made his presence known with several audacious attempts from outside the penalty area, narrowly missing the target but causing plenty of concern for Phantom's defense. A stand-out player in the thick of their defense was Ali Alamyan, whose pace & power on the clearances were praiseworthy.
While the match ended in a 1-1 draw, the mix of youthful energy and veteran composure made for an entertaining clash.
